HAPPY HALLOWEEN! This is a fun time of year for everyone, especially kids! Oh, who am I kidding, EVERYONE loves to dress up! It’s the one day people can pretend to be something that they aren’t…a ghost, a vampire, a slutty (insert word here). God knows you can see more cleavage on Halloween than anywhere else save a strip club…
I wish they would make costumes that were 100% authentic. Like, if I were to choose to dress as Optimus Prime, not only would I look like him, I could transform into a truck and drive away! Wouldn’t that be the best?
What are you being for Halloween?
P.S. Nadia would like to add a game to today’s post. Here is a drawing of her and her boyfriend…can anyone guess what they’re dressed as?
This morning I woke to the sounds of loud trucks doing some sort of construction….on my day off. I want the windows opened to feel the breeze of the 80 degrees F (26 C) and to enjoy fresh air as opposed to the air conditioning many of us have been forced to use daily in this heat. The noise was overwhelming, but it didn’t stop the gentle breeze cooling off my house.
I felt the tiniest bit frustrated as I sat at my dining room table, by my computer, ready to write. I had a perfect view of the workers using some sort of road-destroying mechanism cutting some of the road out, the noise shaking my house as I watched some of my wall art shaking on the nails. I watched as an air tube snapped off the machine, hissing and flailing every which way like some sort of crazy psychotic snake, and the man controlling the machine screamed and ran away from it like a little girl. I swear it felt like watching a Three Stooges episode.
I have to admit, I laughed. It’s always the little things, isn’t it?
